Teaching & education work

I have always been enthusiastic about music education and have accumulated a wealth of experience over the years from teaching Grade 5 Theory whilst in my teens to becoming a full tutor on the International Jazz Summer School in 2020. Along the way I’ve taught for the National Youth Jazz Collective as well as running my own primary school education projects for both the Notivate charity and East Midlands Jazz; as well as many private students. I have been the external examiner for the Guildhall School of Music and Drama bass final recitals for the last 4 years.

Lessons can be taken over Zoom/Skype/FaceTime thanks to the high quality audio setup I have at home. I am experienced in teaching both adults and children and am in possession of an up to date enhanced DBS check.
